Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The tool requests six pieces of information: your gender, date of birth, general health status, tobacco use, the benefit amount you're looking for, and how many years you want the coverage. That's sufficient to get rates from carriers. Your name, address, and detailed health information are gathered only if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are the rates from each carrier for the health category you picked. After the carrier does underwriting, they might keep your class the same, move you to a better one, or adjust it downward. Nothing displayed here amounts to a binding insurance offer or a price guarantee.

What happens when I click Apply?

You provide your name, and an application launches using the specific quote you selected and pulls over to the carriers' encrypted platform. Pause whenever needed and return later. Your signature is electronic. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California firm (License 0B75129), coordinates the whole process.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on which carrier, how much coverage you want, and what you tell them. Carriers offering immediate decisions can give you a yes or no fast if you qualify. Each quote indicates whether that carrier will insist on an exam, might ask for one, or won't need one.

Is a longer term better?

Pick a term that spans the years when your household would struggle without your paycheck: while a mortgage is outstanding, while kids are in your home, while a business loan remains. Longer durations mean higher monthly payments but guarantee your rate stays put. Use the quote tool to see all five options—10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years—next to each other.

Does this site sell my information?

No. Getting quotes doesn't require you to give us contact information, we never sell or share what visitors do here, and we run measurement with no cookies. Head to the privacy page for a complete list of what gets collected and who collects it.
